January 11, 2021- Halifax, NS - Cleve’s Source for Sports Sportsmanship Award Recipient Announced
Peyton Ballem is the Cleve's Source for Sport Sportsmanship Award winner for January 2021. In her first season of year-round swimming with the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club (HTAC), the nine-year-old displayed determination in the face of adversity. Regardless of challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, Peyton managed to excel, swim personal bests, and actively go out of her way to lift up and congratulate teammates on their success’.

• Provincial sport organization members are eligible to nominate athletes for these awards.
• The Athlete of the Month Sportsmanship Award is for the athlete(s) who went above and beyond for their teammates during the
pandemic.
• A membership committee selects the award recipients for five possible categories: Junior Male Athlete, Junior Female Athlete,
Senior Male Athlete, Senior Female Athlete, and Team.
